Application Log View

This log screen monitors each action taken by the application and displays messages, notifications and other service information. Use the messages in this screen to observe and further understand the flow of the recovery process and the operation of the ARAX Disk Doctor application.

For your convenience, the Application Log contents can be cleared from the list or saved into the log file.

Application Log Commands

To open the Application Log submenu, do one of the following:

Click View and point to Application Log
Right-click anywhere in the Application Log view

A description of the commands follows.

Show Log: Displays the Application Log tab in the main screen. To hide this tab again, click the tab to activate the Application Log screen and click the "X" in the top-right corner. (Note: Show Log command does not appear if you right-click the Application Log view.)
Show Service events: Shows more details in the Application Log.
Clear Log: Removes all data from the Application Log view.
Enable writing Log: Enable or disable simultaneous writing log of events to disk.
Save Log As..: Lets you save the contents of the Application Log in a text file. A Save As dialog box appears. ARAX Disk Doctor suggests a file name for the text file and a folder to save the file. You may want to store the file in a folder where you can retrieve it easily.

Note:
The Application Log is a powerful tool and can record every action taken on a disk as soon as it occurs. These entries are useful if you are having difficulty recovering a lost or damaged file. Our technical support staff can use this data to help you recover your data. You can manage this feature’s settings by changing the options in the Application Settings dialog.
